Although we have not been with the Lupient Automotive Group from the start, we are incredibly proud to be a part of this legacy. It all started when Jim Lupient began working part-time at a car dealership in 1950, at just 16 years old. He started out washing cars and helping around the lot, quickly developing a passion for the auto industry and everything a car dealership represents.

Once Jim Lupient began selling cars, there was no looking back, as he realized the importance of connecting with people and helping them get what they needed. He opened his first car dealership in 1969 and, in 1986, founded the Lupient Automotive Group to expand and create more opportunities to provide a fantastic shopping experience. 

In 1990, Jim Lupient earned TIME magazine’s Quality Dealer of the Year award, and was recognized by Sports Illustrated with their American Dealer of the Year award two years later.

In 2020, we joined the Lupient Automotive Group and became Lupient Nissan. Just two years after that, we opened a new facility to better meet the needs of our customers. Ever since, we have worked hard to provide the same legendary experience and great customer service that the Lupient name is known for. 

In this way, we strive to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors throughout Brooklyn Park and the surrounding community.
